Trainee Purchasing Assistant, West Hull, £24,750 + bonus + other benefits

Arlington Moore is working on behalf of a successful company who have an exciting opportunity to train as a Buyer. The role will see you gain exposure to the full supply chain with mentoring and training to achieve CIPS professional qualification.

Working within the supply chain team the Trainee Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for;

* Order Administration - Placing & management of purchase orders, non-conformances and keeping electronic records to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain department.

* Supplier Liaison - Expediting orders, chasing late deliveries and order acknowledgements.

* Supplier Analysis - Providing analysis of data to include delivery, quality, forecasts and tendering exercises.

* Supply Chain Support - providing support for the wider supply chain team to include initial part set-up

What qualities would benefit this purchasing position:

This is a development role so previous experience in a purchasing role is not essential but would be beneficial. This role would either suit somebody who is new to purchasing, who has perhaps graduated, and is interested in obtaining an Apprenticeship with CIPS qualification, or somebody with previous experience looking to develop and mature their skills and knowledge.

* A high level of computer literacy with attention to detail

* You should have a strong customer focus, commercial acumen and a pro-active approach, striving to meet demands

* The role will involve significant interaction with other people; You must be capable of building strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
