Job Description:
- Manage a group of suppliers
- Help improve the performance of suppliers by analysing issues and implementing action plans.
- Join a supplier business reviews with an cross-functional team.
- Work with the team to ensure smooth transfers of work packages within the supply chain.
- Assist the Supplier Performance Quality Leader (SPQL) in rolling out supplier performance strategies and initiatives.
- Manage expectations with key customers to ensure they are fully satisfied.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse, process, confirm, and communicate requirements to suppliers.
- Review and upload schedules received from suppliers.
- Suggest and help implement solutions in case of shortages.
- Negotiate deadlines and quantities with suppliers to meet business needs.
- Oversee the progress of manufacturing at the supplier's site.
- Manage delivery receipts and the flow of returns to suppliers.
Handling Delivery and Quality Issues
- Reconcile performance with suppliers throughout the month.
- Measure and analyse supplier performance with the SPQL and create action plans if targets aren't met.
- Identify and resolve root causes of issues.
- Issue warnings if there's a risk with a supplier.
- Communicate major program changes to suppliers.
- Monitor the implementation of changes.
- Implement recovery plans and manage priorities according to program needs.
Regular Supplier Reviews
- Schedule visits and meetings with suppliers based on risk and importance.
- Lead supplier visits if needed.
- Measure, reconcile, and analyse supplier performance, and create action plans with the SPQL if targets aren't met.
What We Need From You:
- Good knowledge of ERP systems and MRP2 principles in SAP.
- Experience in the engineering industry.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Effective problem-solving and negotiating skills.
- Good business understanding and commercial awareness.
- Experience in handling engineering material.
