Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global enterprise to recruit for an Electrical Design Engineer. As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be involved in all aspects of the day to day, from the main duties of design through to tender processes and quoting, reviewing specifications, software generation, testing and overall quality of the build. The work you will be doing is niche and specific to this business. You will be designing the electrical hardware for transportation used in the aviation industry, your role will be to ensure that the products created will be able to sustain harsh weather conditions and in consistent use night or day. As all the design work is completed on site for this global business, you will be working with a specialist team of Electrical Design Engineers and PLC’s, with the opportunity to grow your skill set further in either Electrical Design or PLC. Responsibilities & day to day duties As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Support or lead the design of electrical systems for heavy duty mobile equipment.
• You will be responsible for development of electrical, electro-mechanical and software design projects.
• Produce electrical schematics, electrical assembly drawings, technical bulletins to manufacture.
• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D designs and drawings.
• The work can be simple to very complex and you will need to use independent judgement and creativity to create/design solutions for the customer.
• Provide assistance and overcome technical issues to other departments and customers.
• Working closely with all the team from support, engineers and manufacturing.

Skills & experience required.

• Worked in a heavy vehicle or industrial environment such as forklift trucks, cranes to HGV’s from construction, quarries to transportation of heavy goods vehicles.
• Experience with either PLC programming or Electrical hardware and the want to grow your skill set further.
• Working experience of completing or reviewing BOM.
• The ability to work on a variety of tasks linked to the electrical design for these products.
