Field Service Engineer - Packaging Technology

The Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will join a global service organisation committed to delivering excellent customer support and contributing to the profitable growth of their clients in the pharmaceutical and food sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, and maintain new packaging lines to meet agreed specifications
* Conduct site acceptance tests and troubleshoot equipment issues across secondary packaging equipment
* Provide customer training on routine maintenance and operation of packaging equipment
* Resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues, identifying root causes
* Liaise with the engineering team when necessary for complex problem-solving
* Manage customer expectations and provide detailed reporting following site visits
* Support product trials and work efficiently to minimize downtime
* Engage in ongoing product training to stay current with the latest equipment developments
Required Qualifications:
* Experience in field service, preferably in packaging engineering
* Qualifications in Mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering
* Understanding of FMCG & GMP manufacturing industry
* Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and software engineering
* Knowledge of modern and legacy control systems
* Experience with high-speed packaging machine adjustment and optimization
* Understanding of PLC theory and implementation (e.g., RsLogix, Simatic Step7)
Essential Skills:
* Commercial awareness with ability to identify business opportunities
* Strong customer service orientation
* Excellent prioritization skills to meet challenging deadlines
* Willingness to travel and work remotely
* Full driving license
