The Role

The school are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Performing Arts Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our performances, productions, and creative projects. Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain lighting, sound, and audiovisual equipment for rehearsals, performances, and events.
Provide technical support for productions, including rigging and de-rigging of equipment.
Collaborate with directors, performers, and other creatives to achieve the artistic vision.
Maintain and organize technical equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
Assist in the planning and execution of performances and events.
Provide training and support to students and staff in the use of technical equipment.

Essential Requirements

Experience in lighting, sound, or AV operation in a performing arts environment.
Strong understanding of health and safety protocols in technical theatre.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork.

Desirable Skills

Knowledge of digital audio workstations and editing software.
Experience with stage management or production coordination.
Qualifications in technical theatre or a related field.
