Reed are looking for a financial accountant to join our client in the manufacturing industry who are based in St Ives. They are looking for a financial accountant to join their team on a temporary basis, with the length of contract initially being 3-4 weeks but this is likely to be extended. This position can pay a rate of £250 p/d through PAYE or £300 Umbrella.

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with P&L, balance sheet and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Provide financial analysis and reports to management.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
