My client i seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in cost management and contract administration throughout all phases of construction projects, from pre-construction to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating:

* Prepare detailed cost estimates by analysing project plans, specifications, and drawings to calculate materials, labour, equipment, and other expenses.

* Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools for take-offs, calculations, and report generation.

* Identify and manage potential risks that could impact costs, such as unforeseen site conditions or material price fluctuations.

Pre-construction:

* Review and analyse tender documents to assess the completeness and accuracy of cost information.

* Collaborate with Estimators to review project budgets and split work packages if subcontracting is required.

*

Construction Phase:

* Manage variations and change orders by analysing and pricing client requests or unforeseen circumstances, ensuring accurate cost implications.

* Measure and value completed work, ensuring accurate records are obtained from the Operations Support Manager. Calculate fair and accurate valuations for interim payments to contractors.

* Support the CVR process by providing data to the Commercial Manager for project and company CVRs for group board meetings.

* Prepare cost reports and forecasts to inform decision-making and financial planning.

Contract Administration:

* Set up and manage subcontractor contracts, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget, and processing subcontractor payments.

* Assist in resolving contractual disputes with subcontractors or suppliers, protecting the company's financial interests.

* Administer contracts in line with terms and conditions, including contractual correspondence.

Additional Responsibilities:

* Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project costs and timelines.

* Suggest value engineering solutions to reduce costs while maintaining quality and sustainability.

* Maintain accurate project documentation, including cost-related documents, contracts, and reports.

* Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including project managers, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on cost-related matters.
