Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, specializing in large new build projects. This role is crucial for producing competitive and accurate cost estimates while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for Construction Build projects

* Analyze technical drawings, specifications, and project documents to develop competitive pricing strategies.

* Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather and validate cost information for materials, labor, and equipment.

* Develop and submit tender proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements and contractual obligations.

* Identify potential risks in project scopes and incorporate mitigation measures during the estimation process.

* Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to refine cost models and project scopes.

* Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and competitor strategies to ensure a competitive edge.

* Ensure all estimates meet industry regulations and health and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:

* Proven experience as a Estimator, ideally within Build sectors - commercial or residential

* Strong understanding of civil engineering processes and relevant industry standards.

* Proficiency in estimation tools/software and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.

Desirable:

* A qualification in civil engineering (HNC/HND or equivalent).

* Familiarity with procurement processes and contract management (e.g., NEC3/NEC4).

* Membership in relevant professional bodies (e.g., ICE)
