Our client, a reputable firm within the building control sector, is currently seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join their team in the South West region, encompassing Exeter and Plymouth. Key Responsibilities:

Conducting 3-5 site inspections per day to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
Evaluating and certifying construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines
Providing expert advice to clients, contractors, and stakeholders on building control matters
Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections
Collaborating with Class 2 and Class 3 surveyors to cover a range of projects
Staying updated with the latest building control legislature and industry practices
Offering practical solutions and recommendations to resolve any issues identified during inspections
Ensuring consistent communication and liaising effectively with the internal team and external parties

Job Requirements:

Proven experience in building control or a related discipline
Comprehensive understanding of building regulations and safety standards
Registered as a Building Inspector or similar qualification
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
Ability to manage multiple inspections and tasks effectively
A collaborative attitude to work with various surveyors and project stakeholders
