The Client

Our client is a leading ventilation systems business providing design, manufacturing and installation services to their domestic and commercial customers throughout the UK. Due to the companies growing success, they're now in the market for a field based engineer to support their customers in the South East. The Role is to give a professional service to the clients working on a varied selection of Ventilation Systems including Air Handling Units, Extract Fans, Heat Recovery Units, High Temperature Fans, Twin Fans and associated accessories. The role will require in excess of 20,000 miles travel a year with the occasional overnight stay when necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Working on various ventilation systems within a reactive and planned maintenance environment.

* Fault finding and repairs.

* Carry out all mechanical and electrical repairs to plant in accordance with schedules.

* Responsible for completing proactive inspections and any required remedial repairs encompassing either plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilation installations.

* Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety requirements.

* Work alone to find and present faults and concerns in electrical systems without receiving explicit direction.

* Provide exceptional customer service and answer any customer questions.

* Take all reasonable precautions to ensure health and safety.

* Carry out such duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Line Manager or other Senior Managers.

The Person

Essential:

* Relevant qualifications related to ventilation (plumbing, heating, gas, electrical).

* Worked on customer sites - H&S knowledge, Risk Assessments.

* Used to fault finding - methodical and logical manner.

* Proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a team.

* Able to manage a challenging and varied workload whilst assisting team members when required.

* Strong Telephone / IT / Numeracy Skills

* Full UK Driving License

Desired:

* Thorough understanding of current electrical standards and how they apply to the AHU marketplace.

* Previous experience in an FM environment.

* Qualified within electrical and mechanical 2391 or 2394/5 Testing and Inspection Certificate.

* Relevant experience in Building Services Engineering across a variety of sectors.

* Previous HVAC Industry experience.
