Then look no further as my award-winning client is looking out for skilled Senior and Principal Civil Engineers, with relevant UK experience of minimum 4+ years' within the drainage and highways sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities:     

Design drainage systems, including SUDS, infrastructure for buildings, stormwater management, flood prevention, and sewage systems, etc. ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Design highway infrastructures, including road layouts, pavements, intersections, and related structures, applying working knowledge of S38 and S278
Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Prepare and submit permit applications and liaise with regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals.
Lead and oversee the design and construction of drainage and some highway projects.
Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and government agencies, to ensure project requirements are met.
Conduct site investigations and surveys to gather necessary data for design and planning.
Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Successful candidate specifications:

BEng / MSc / MEng in Civil Engineering
Flexibility to travel for work.
A commitment to the pursuit of becoming a chartered professional and continuous professional development (CPD).
Experience in the use of hydraulic modelling software, such as MicroDrainage.
Experience in the regulatory approvals process for drainage. For example, Section 106 and Section 278 type applications.
Working knowledge of S38 and S278
Possess a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Micro Drainage, MS Office, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong numerical, analysis and design skills.
Committed to work and capable of proactively managing own tasks, workload and costs.
Planned and organised in your approach to work and meeting deadlines.
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
Previous post graduate experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
A full driver's licence would be an advantage.
