About UsTradewind Recruitment is looking for compassionate and adaptable Supply Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team, supporting SEND schools across Bootle. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs, this role could be perfect for you!

The RoleAs a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support for students with a range of SEND, including autism, learning difficulties, and emotional and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students, adapting tasks to meet individual needs.
  • Assist with personal care where required.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support a calm and productive classroom environment.
  • Support the teacher in implementing IEPs (Individual Education Plans).
  • Encourage student's social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to learning support.
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude.
  • Ability to travel to various SEND schools in Bootle.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
