Due to business growth, we currently have a new opportunity for an Audit & Accounts Manager to join our Corporate team. The Audit & Accounts Manager will work as part of a wider team and directly with clients; with a large and varied client base - including those in manufacturing, tech, agriculture, and healthcare - the work is diverse, and no day is the same. Clients are generally located within a 50-mile radius of the office, so no extensive travel is required.
About the role:
- Oversee a diverse range of accounts and audit clients for partners, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
- Engage with clients to plan and schedule audit and account engagements.
- Evaluate draft financial statements, providing insightful notes and commentary for partner discussions.
- Examine audit files and financial statements, offering detailed feedback for RI review.
- Ensure the prompt completion and filing of year-end financial statements and company tax returns.
- Handle billing for your portfolio of clients efficiently.
- Create strong client relationships, responding promptly to requests and maintaining excellent communication.
- Organise and manage advisory and administrative tasks (tax, management consultancy, business advisory, etc.) for clients.
- Enhance portfolio performance by meeting and exceeding department KPIs.
- Play a key role in developing our corporate business stream members by training associates, providing constructive feedback, and coordinating with line managers on trainee performance.
- Assist in managing junior team members, from graduates to qualified seniors, ensuring high motivation and delivering exceptional client work. Maintain and update development plans through regular appraisals.
- Actively support and encourage diversity and equality within our teams, and an inclusive work environment.
About you:
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
- In-depth audit experience within a varied client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high standards.
- Deliver clear and compelling presentations that communicate complex information effectively to clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise tasks effectively, managing deadlines and client needs in a fast-paced environment
