We are seeking a confident individual with good knowledge of the machining or welding of sheet metal, to join our client as a Quality Inspector. The role is working in the Quality department of their large modern factory in Stanton, Suffolk.

It is a full-time role, working 39 hours per week from 8:00 - 16:30 Mon to Thurs, and 8:00 - 15:30 on Fridays with overtime available during the week. The annual salary for the role ranges from £26,000 - £28,000 per annum plus overtime, and the company offers 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays annually.

Our client has been designing and manufacturing machinery and accessories (on both a small and large scale) for global agricultural markets for over 50 years. They have achieved enormous success in their field due to their reputation for quality products and on-site engineering expertise. They are also a very stable employer, with high retention rates of staff and an excellent friendly, tidy, and safe working environment.

The Role

Working as part of a two-person team, you'll be responsible for checking the quality of all machined components used within the production of the company's products.

Duties and responsibilities include:

* Identifying any rejects/reworks

* Manage process improvements through communicating with all departments.

* Log and monitor quality issues

* Monitor and expedite design improvements.

* Be involved in establishing quality standards for production of new products.

* Assist in improving and implementing process change to ensure repetitive mistakes are minimised.

* Perform measurements of all parts requiring quality checks.

* Maintain gauge calibration status within the organisation.

* Partake in quality audits when required and report any findings to your colleague

Role Requirements

Essential requirements to be considered for this role are:

* Experience working with sheet metal in some capacity (machining or welding ideally)

* The ability to read engineering drawings

* An excellent attention to detail and eye for accuracy

* Strong communication skills, with the confidence to communicate quality issues with different departments

* Own driving licence to get to the company's rural location as it is inaccessible via public transport.
