Travel: International (mainly Europe)
Adept:us is recruiting for a Head of Business Development for a UK based engineering client who offer a portfolio of exciting and innovative sustainability products and services.
The Head of Business Development will support our client with the roll-out of their products internationally. You will be joining a team of highly skilled engineers and play a key role in growing company market reach.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the company's products and services.
* Help develop and implement the commercial strategy.
* Identify and validate new customers and markets for business expansion.
* Engage with new customers and up-sell to existing customers.
* Develop and maintain relationships with customer and prospective customer key decision-makers.
* Grow and manage a network of regional sales consultants / agencies.
* Prepare customer quotations and fee proposals.
* Assist with the preparation of marketing documents and sales materials to deliver commercial strategy.
* Attend industry networking events and trade shows.
* Generate and report on key performance metrics.
* Grow the Sales function In the longer term.
Experience:
* Proven track record of identifying and winning new business opportunities and closing contracts.
* Experience in contract negotiation and representing businesses at a senior level.
* Understanding of all aspects of sales and marketing.
* Ability to present reports to C-suite and board-level stakeholders.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively describe complex engineering solutions to non-engineers.
* Proficient in using and maintaining CRM systems and sales funnel reporting tools.
* Proficient in producing professional slide decks and sales materials.
* Proactive approach, ability to set and meet deadlines, and with a strong attention to detail.
* Second language desirable but not essential.
* Experience working in the HVAC industry is highly desirable
