Our client, a renowned entity in the Highways Traffic and Planning (HTP) sector, is seeking a proficient Technical Support Officer to handle the network management of district highways. This contract role is pivotal in ensuring that all activities and operations on highways comply with current legislation and the district's specific permit schemes, supporting the overall safety and effectiveness of the transport network.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operation of Network Management ICT systems, focusing on adherence to procedures and operational compliance.
Assessing and granting applications for construction works and licensed activities on the highways, ensuring coordination with various stakeholders.
Inputting traffic management and control data into ICT systems, and providing necessary advice based on coordinators' and managers' recommendations.
Supporting organisation and documentation for public and private events that affect the highways, ensuring detailed recording on electronic systems.
Handling enquiries from the public, colleagues, and external bodies efficiently through various communication platforms.
Participating in handling unplanned incidents on the highway network, providing necessary technical support and intervention.
Contributing to financial aspects, including identifying recoverable fees and charges and supporting their collection.
Maintaining compliance with internal and external policies and legislation, and assisting in the implementation of service enhancements within the Network Management Team.

Job Requirements:

Comprehensive knowledge and qualifications related to Street Works and NRSWA.
Experience in managing ICT systems specific to highway or network management.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in data input and management, with particular attention to accuracy and detail.
Excellent communication skills, capable of dealing with multiple stakeholders including the public and internal teams.
A proactive approach to resolving issues and improving service delivery within the Network Management framework.
Capability to participate in a broad range of activities, showing adaptability and commitment.
