My client is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a new build nursery in Buckinghamshire. The project is scheduled to run for 29 weeks, and the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities to ensure timely, safe, and high-quality completion of the build.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project progresses according to schedule and budget.

* Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and trades on site.

* Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

* Liaise with the client, design team, and project manager to ensure effective communication.

* Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress reports.

* Ensure all work is carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and building regulations.

* Oversee quality control and snagging processes.

* Maintain accurate site documentation including RAMS, site diaries, and induction records.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar-sized new build projects, ideally within the education or childcare sector.

* SMSTS, CSCS card (Black or White), and First Aid certification (essential).

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.

* Good IT skills - ability to use email, MS Office, and project reporting software.

* Knowledge of current building regulations and H&S legislation.

Desirable:

* Experience delivering nursery, school, or public sector building projects.

* NVQ Level 6 or equivalent in Construction Management.
