PM Group requires a maintenance manager to work on a chemicals site in West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

* Working as head of site maintenance, accountable for all maintenance and reliability strategies and activities on site.

* Managing, developing, growing, and leading members of the maintenance engineering team.

* Working alongside existing client engineers, managers, and directors.

* Ensuring that all reactive, predictive and preventative maintenance activities on site are compliant with EU and UK health and safety regulations, as well as client procedures and protocols.

* Defining and executing appropriate strategies and programs necessary to optimise plant uptime, integrity, and reliability.

* Enabling operations to meet customer demands safely, on time, and in full, within agreed budgets.

* Ensure that the pertinent legal requirements for the site are met and strive to achieve the site maintenance standards world-class level.

* Ensuring that the weekly maintenance plan is prepared, shared, resourced, and executed in a timely manner.

* Coordinating with the engineering, operations, project, and SHE departments for the day-by-day activities.

* Being accountable for the yearly site maintenance shut down.

* Developing and maintaining the site asset care plan, leveraging all the required site resources as well as the contractors.

* Providing direct support in coordinating the field activities whenever needed.

* Being accountable for the maintenance budget and to support the preparation and execution of the capital project plan.

* Proactively support the continuous improvement initiatives, site-wide.

* Developing the plant maintenance to meet future business and customer needs, optimising plant uptime and productivity through smart and proactive engineering, including the implementation of critical spares plans to mitigate major downtime risk.

* Working with the project engineering team to ensure the maintainability of installations.

* Controlling the mitigation of repetitive failures. Monitoring success of reliability improvements.

* Improving equipment reliability on site.

* Working with the engineering lead to champion a maintenance and reliability strategy across the whole site, advising and implementing best practices.

* Developing new maintenance and reliability procedures to ensure current equipment's working lifespan is increased.

* Leading the existing reliability and maintenance teams through newly developed procedures.

* Carrying out routine maintenance on existing equipment.

Qualifications

* Candidates must have proven experience of working on multiple maintenance projects in a process manufacturing facility in one or more of the following industries: fine chemicals, petrochemicals, API pharmaceutical manufacturing.

* Knowledge of standard industry practices, procedures and safety measures is essential.

* Candidates must be excellent communicators, able to lead and focus a multi-disciplined engineering team.

* The successful candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to challenge and work with other technical engineers and project stakeholders.
