An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturer in the Durham/Stanley area. This role is perfect for someone with drive, ambition, and a desire for a long-standing career. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background with a preference for those who also possess a solid understanding of mechanical systems. Being educated to ONC/HNC level and having completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship are essential requirements for the role.

The Position:

We are actively seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a permanent position. Ideally, the candidate will have prior experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically within a fast-moving environment. This role requires a highly adaptable individual with the ability to thrive both as part of a team and independently. The candidate must have a keen eye for detail, particularly when it comes to diagnosing and rectifying faults in a range of machinery.

Skills & Requirements:

* Time Served - Full engineering apprenticeship.

* ONC/HNC Qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline.

* Manufacturing Industry Experience - Experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment or similar is essential.

* Mechanical and Electrical Fault-Finding - The ability to identify and resolve issues across a variety of machinery.

* Fault Diagnostics - Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex machinery.

* LEAN Manufacturing - Knowledge of LEAN processes would be advantageous, though it is not a requirement.

* Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) - Practical hands-on experience with PPM schedules.

* CNC Machinery - Any experience with CNC machinery is highly desirable and would be considered a significant advantage for this role.

* Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Gears, Pumps, and Valves - Familiarity with these components is a strong asset.
