T2M are delighted to be recruiting this newly created Group Financial Accountant position for one of the Midlands leading companies. The presents a great opportunity to join a multi-national group where you can build a long term career - it's an ideal first move from practice for a qualified ACA / ACCA but we will consider candidates with strong technical accounting skills who have trained within a group finance function. This is a hybrid role so you benefit from being in the office 3 days a week, learning and collaborating with colleagues, and 2 days working from home.
As Group Financial Accountant you will reporting to the Financial Controller and working a with a great team of colleagues. Your role will be varied and interesting, including the following:
- Preparing monthly group consolidated accounts for the EMEA region of companies within the group
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with a focus on P&L, working capital and financial analysis of project performance
- Supporting the preparation of consolidated group statutory accounts and returns, liaising with external auditors
- Supporting the group tax team with provision of financial data
- Getting involved with annual budgeting and period forecasting
- Helping to identify and implement process improvements
To be successful in this role we are looking for the following skills, attributes and qualifications:
- A graduate who has completed a structured training program and qualified as an accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong financial accounting and reporting skills (ideally FRS102)
- A confident and inquisitive manner - we want someone who is interested in what the number say...not just what they add up to!Good IT skills e,g, Excel, Cognos, Power BI
