ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you are responsible for the management of the material and suppliers for a business area and product line

Responsibilities:

Receiving requisitions and demands and negotiate with suppliers.
Process Purchase Orders
Maintain Supplier open order books inclusive of repairs.
Ensure that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP system.
Negotiating Terms and Conditions, Price Agreements and other contractual documents with suppliers.
Maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliers and be able to resolve relationship and performance issues.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction/avoidance through effective negotiation.
Understanding and communicating key performance indicators for suppliers

Requirements:

Proven purchasing experience.
Previous Supplier Management skills.
Knowledge of Procurement process.
Computer literate in word & excel
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Analytical skills
Negotiating and Influencing skills
Commercial awareness
