What are degree apprenticeships?Degree apprenticeships are a programme offered by some universities. Apprentices are employed full-time by their employer and can achieve a full bachelor’s degree whilst working.What does a Digital & Technology Solutions Professional do?A Digital & Technology Solutions Professional provides technology enabled solutions to internal and/or external customers, in a range of areas including software, business and systems analysis, cyber security and data analysis. They implement technology solutions that enable businesses to develop new products and services and to increase an organisations productivity using digital technologies. They are self-assured, knowledgeable, and self-supporting professionals able to operate in a range of technical roles.

Typical job titles:Software Developer, Software Engineer, Software Tester, Application Specialist, Business Analyst, IT Project Manager, Cyber Security Analyst, Database Specialist, Data Analyst, Systems Analyst.

  • By the end of the course, you will have experience in the following and lots more besides:
  • Technical: Able to put forward, demonstrate value of and gain commitment to a moderately complex technology-oriented solution, demonstrating understanding of business need, using open questions and summarising skills and basic negotiating skills.
  • Building relationships: Is able to identify the preferences, motivations, strengths and limitations of other people and apply these insights to work more effectively with and to motivate others.
  • Team Working: Demonstrates the ability to work as a part of a team supporting colleagues and fostering good working relationships internally and externally.
  • Communication: Makes concise, engaging and well-structured verbal and written presentations.
  • Results Focused: Have demonstrated that they have mastered basic business disciplines, ethics and courtesies, demonstrating timeliness and focus when faced with distractions and the ability to deliver successful outcomes to agreed timescales with high quality.
  • Problem Solving: Applies critical thinking skills to Technology Solutions development and to systematically investigate and apply structured problem solving techniques to complex systems and situations.
  •  Resilience: Able to overcome adversity, and effectively manage their time with the ability to prioritise tasks and ask for support when needed

What we need from you:

  • 3 ‘A’ levels at BBB or equivalent (IB 30, BTEC DDM)
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • A keen eye to detail
  • Curiosity and the ability to handle change.
