Are you ready to take the lead in a fast-paced, data-driven environment? Our client, a prominent organization tasked with ensuring the protection of vital financial resources, is seeking an exceptional Head of Data Strategy, Design and Control to join their growing data services team.

This role is pivotal in shaping and evolving the data landscape within an organization responsible for safeguarding financial interests across the UK. With more than £2 trillion in assets under oversight, they are driving innovation and transformation to ensure regulatory effectiveness through the power of data.

What You'll Be Doing: As the Head of Data Strategy, Design, and Control, you will:

Develop the strategic framework for data governance, architecture, quality, and knowledge management.
Lead the design and implementation of a future-proof data strategy, in collaboration with cross-functional teams, to enhance regulatory capabilities.
Drive innovation in data management, setting best practices for data quality, standardization, and linking across both internal and external stakeholders.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data specialists, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to thrive.
Collaborate with both public and private sector partners to ensure seamless data integration and interoperability.

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience in leading enterprise data management strategies, including data architecture and quality.
Expertise in enhancing data interoperability across systems and ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of data for secondary use.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing data team.
Strong stakeholder management abilities with a track record of collaborating both internally and externally.
A forward-thinking approach, with a deep understanding of emerging data trends, risks, and technological advancements.
A proactive, strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
