Job Summary

Temp All Staffing Ltd are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative on behalf of our established client. Our client is currently seeking a new member to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will assist with the maintenance of all office utilities and controlling of stock. Whilst ensuring all regulatory requirements are met and a safe workplace is maintained. The successful candidate will also partake in additional duties when required.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday working week
  • Day Shift 7:30am to 4pm

The Role:

  • Take control of the warehouse, organise stock and maintain a tidy and safe work environment
  • Safely operate a forklift
  • Assist in regular inspections
  • Assist in organising equipment and materials for operational staff, ensuring operational works are resourced
  • Take in deliveries, check delivery notes and PO’s to ensure the correct items are received, whilst keeping an accurate record of deliveries
  • Comply with all Health and Safety regulations relating to the delivery and sorting of materials
  • Safely organise and transport stock to designated areas within the warehouse
  • Routinely complete stock takes and stock reconciliations
  • Ensure test equipment is correctly calibrated and fit for purpose as well as file calibration certificates
  • Arrange repairs and returns with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Update the equipment register, ensuring all requirement is accounted for
  • Assist in oil sampling and testing process
  • Track equipment hire
  • Assist in fleet management logistics and complete regular vehicle maintenance checks (including forklifts)
  • Attend development meetings and participate in further education

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience as a warehouse operative is essential
  • You must hold a full UK manual driver’s license essential
  • Previous forklift license is essential, refresher courses can be provided
  • Holder of IOSH Working Safety/ SSSTS/ SMSTS/ CCNSG/ ECS Card, refreshers can be provided
  • Warehouse & Logistics qualification or Electrical Engineering qualification (desirable)

Previous experience of manual handling, stock control

  • Knowledge of Computer systems and software
  • Health and Safety and waste management awareness
  • Understanding of oil sampling practices
  • Experience completing ladder inspections
  • Good levels of communication
  • Problem solving abilities
