Due to the continued demand for Student accomadation, this specialist Contractor is actively looking to source a Project / Contracts Manager to oversee existing and new projects in Bristol and Bath.

Job Purpose/Background:

The role will include the implementation and delivery of various Student Accomadation projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for our projects from initial set up, onto successful completion, monitoring the progress of work on site and assessing the quality of the work being carried out and ensure the work is correct as per scope of works, and specifications.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Meeting potential clients and managing their expectations.

· The first point of contact for clients and sub-contractors once a site is live

· Oversee projects from the start through to completion, ensuring that work is completed on time and within budget, and to the highest quality.

· Managing and production of all aspects of Health & Safety, including - preparing site files, RAMS, Construction Phase Plans.

· Producing and managing programmes.

· Managing multiple projects at any one time.

· Management of directly employed staff and sub-contractors - organising labour, materials and plant requirements for each project.

· Contributing to work planning, and briefing project teams, contractors, and suppliers.

· Working closely with the Estimators / Quantity Surveyors - Keeping track of onsite changes and variations.

· Timely ordering of materials and plant.

· Attending project / site meetings as the company representative.

Knowledge / Experience:

· Building or refurbishment related qualification of demonstrable experience.

· Min 5 years Contract Management experience

· Health and Safety qualification required such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS etc

· Previous experience of working within the construction sector

· Previous experience of painting and decorating contract management would be an advantage

· IT skills are essential and you must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook and Word

· Full UK Driving Licence

· Excellent customer service skills and commitment to deliver the works to the client's expectation

· Experience of managing teams of operatives

· Be technically minded.

· Be able to use your own initiative, as well as working well as part of a team.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Good problem-solving skills
