Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Youth Worker for a Local Authority Client based in East London.

In this role, you will engage, support, and inspire young people through the development and delivery of impactful programs and activities that promote their personal, social, and educational growth.

About the role:

You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

  • Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of youth programs, workshops, and events.
  • Provide one-to-one support and mentoring to young people, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with local schools, community groups, and other agencies to promote and develop youth services.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, providing regular feedback and reports.
  • Encourage young people's participation in community activities and decision-making processes.

About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

  • Previous experience working directly with young people in a youth work or similar setting.
  • Experience providing one-to-one support, mentoring, or guidance to young people, addressing their individual needs and challenges.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of young people.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs, providing feedback, and generating reports as required.

What's on offer

Salary: £18ph+per hour

*may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*

Contract type: 3-6 months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Position 1 - Monday and Friday, 12pm to 8pm - 14 hours per week

Position 2 - Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 6:30pm to 9:30pm , 9 hours per week

Position 3 - Monday, 3pm to 9pm, 7 hours per week

Position 4 - Wednesday, 3pm to 9pm, 7 hours per week

Position 5 - Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
