Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Designer to lead the end-to-end architecture and design of an enterprise API platform for a leading financial services organisation. This role is pivotal in enabling API discoverability, reusability, architecture, and governance across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing API ecosystems while ensuring alignment with business and technical strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the architecture and design of an enterprise API platform, ensuring scalability and reusability.

* Collaborate with enterprise architects to align API solutions with organizational standards and strategies.

* Work closely with product managers and developers to implement and refine design artifacts.

* Ensure API governance and compliance with best practices and industry standards.

* Communicate technical designs effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Drive innovation and efficiency in API architecture and integration.

Key Requirements:

* Previous experience in financial services is essential.

* Proven expertise in API platform design, governance, and implementation.

* Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and integration patterns.

* Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and product managers.

* Ability to articulate complex technical designs to various audiences.

* Proficiency in relevant technologies and frameworks supporting API ecosystems.

Contract Details:

* Duration: 6 months (potential for extension).

* Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week in London.

* Engagement: Inside IR35 - via Umbrella Company.
