Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a knack for estimating costs in the metalworking or manufacturing industry? We're seeking a dynamic Estimator to join a leading company in Sandwell Your role will be crucial in driving profitable sales by delivering accurate and timely estimates that meet customer and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation: Prepare precise and timely estimates for fabrication projects, ensuring all specifications and requirements are met.
Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and the sales team to understand project briefs and advise on cost-effective manufacturing methods.
Quotation Management: Provide clients with detailed quotes using industry-standard software, and follow up to secure new projects.
Order Processing: Ensure all orders are processed efficiently, aligning with the company's sales procedures.
Technical Support: Offer technical advice and support to clients and colleagues, ensuring project success.
Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce costs through innovative design, material selection, and manufacturing techniques.
Sales Reporting: Regularly update and report sales data to keep the team informed and aligned.
CRM Management: Maintain accurate records in the CRM system to ensure up-to-date information on all clients and projects.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to develop and streamline procedures for new orders and ongoing projects.
Requirements:
Industry Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience in an estimating role, preferably within metalworking or manufacturing.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of metalworking processes, engineering principles, and cost estimation techniques.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships.
Organizational Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
IT Proficiency: Strong skills in MS Office and familiarity with estimating software.
Problem-Solving: Experience in resolving issues and handling customer enquiries effectively.
Team Player: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, contributing to overall success.
