About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong plumbing background to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of a [commercial building/portfolio of commercial buildings]. This is a permanent day-shift position offering £36,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and plumbing installations.

* Diagnose and repair mechanical and plumbing faults, including pumps, pipework, HVAC systems, and water management systems.

* Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

* Respond promptly to reactive maintenance tasks and resolve issues efficiently to minimize downtime.

* Collaborate with the wider facilities and maintenance team to deliver exceptional service to the client and building occupants.

* Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and update maintenance logs and reporting systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, with a focus on plumbing.

* NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or a related discipline (or equivalent).

* Knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC).

* Strong understanding of building services and plumbing regulations.

* Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Previous experience in a commercial building or facilities management environment is highly desirable.
