Payroll Analyst - £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus - City of London
Frazer Jones are delighted to be supporting a leading name within financial services on the recruitment of a Payroll Analyst to join the team on a permanent basis.
Our client is requiring you to be in the office 3 days per week (2 from home)
The Role:
- Provide full payroll support for all employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, internal transfers, and various parental leaves to ensure smooth monthly payroll operations.
- Share knowledge to support a high-performing, successful payroll team.
- Demonstrate role model behavior by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Be responsible for payroll end-to-end processes, including payroll and accounting activities.
- Ensure correct and accurate payroll accounting treatment across all payrolls.
- Identify opportunities to align and streamline processes to support the integration of HR teams, Shared Services team, and the wider HR function.
- Maintain documents and process maps to ensure alignment with HR policies and local legislation.
- Drive and support change initiatives.
- Constantly seek process improvements and identify control deficiencies.
- Support various internal and external audits.
- Demonstrate risk awareness within the local and wider HR team.
- Demonstrate awareness of how payroll connects with other areas of the HR team and the broader business.
- Adopt a client-centric approach to decision-making, using operational knowledge to support effective outcomes.
- Demonstrate understanding of payroll policies and procedures, applying this knowledge daily.
- Understand payroll data and the frequency of payroll integrations between ADP, Workday, and Darwin.
- Be responsible for post-payroll accounting activities, including processing general ledger files and internal account movements.
- Work with the Global Mobility Team to provide payroll support for all payroll-related processes, ensuring timely and accurate monthly expatriate payroll processing.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from employees and HR colleagues via various payroll contact channels (phone, email, face-to-face, post, Workday case management), including providing payslips and tax documentation.
- Assist the payroll team with managing the payroll shared mailbox, ensuring timely and high-quality responses.
- Collaborate closely with the HR Shared Services team and Global Mobility teams to coordinate the timely processing of payroll changes.
- Work closely with the benefits team to reconcile monthly benefits against payroll.
- Oversee payroll, payment, and reconciliation of the company's pension scheme.
Skills & experience needed:
- ADP system knowledge
- Workday knowledge (added bonus)
- Strong excel skills
- Strong UK payroll knowledge.
