RM Recruit is delighted to be partnering with a reputable organisation based in Aston in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temporary, full-time basis for approximately 6-8 weeks. Our client offers flexible working hours, and this position is based on site. Additionally, there is potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial term.

Key Responsibilities include:

* Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring correct matching to purchase orders.

* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

* Perform regular reconciliations of the purchase ledger

* Ensure payments are made in line with the agreed supplier terms

* Code invoices to the appropriate ledger accounts

* Prepare and process supplier payments via BACS, CHAPS, or cheques.

* Manage supplier queries and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.

* Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.

Person Specification:

* Immediately available or available on short notice

* Proven experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance role.

* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.

* Proficient in using accounting software, Sage 200 and MS Excel.

* Ability to handle queries and resolve issues professionally.

* A proactive and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
