Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will oversee healthcare and educational projects ranging from £5 million to £30 million. With a focus on managing cost, contracts, and ensuring timely project delivery, you will play a pivotal role in project success. The role offers flexible working arrangements and an excellent benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead all commercial activities across multiple projects in the healthcare and educational sectors.

* Manage the quantity surveying team and provide mentoring to junior QSs.

* Oversee and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, including NEC and JCT contracts.

* Prepare accurate cost reports, forecasts, and final accounts for clients.

* Actively contribute to procurement strategies and supplier negotiations.

* Conduct regular site visits, ensuring work is progressing to agreed budgets and timelines.

* Identify and mitigate project risks, handling any variations or changes.

* Work closely with the project delivery teams and ensure collaboration across departments.

* Provide senior management with regular commercial updates.

Qualifications & Experience:

* MRICS or equivalent qualification.

* Strong track record as a Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the main contracting environment.

* Experience working on healthcare and/or educational projects.

* Proficiency in managing projects valued between £5-£30 million.

* Excellent knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.

* Ability to manage teams and work collaboratively with various project stakeholders.

* Strong financial acumen and commercial awareness.
