Reed Accountancy are currently seeking an experienced Auditor on behalf of a reputable Top 25 accounting firm with a strong presence in the not-for-profit sector. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified ACA or ACCA professional who is passionate about making a difference through their work with charities, educational organisations, and other non-profit entities. The role offers flexibility, including the possibility of term-time work arrangements, to support a healthy work-life balance.
Day to day of the role: - Conduct comprehensive audits for a variety of not-for-profit organisations, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Provide general accounting services and support to clients.
- Prepare statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts, from both manual and computerised records.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to clients’ accounting systems and controls.
- Supervise and review the work of junior team members, fostering their professional growth and ensuring the quality of their work.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - ACA or ACCA qualified or part-qualified.
- Proven experience in audit planning, statutory accounts preparation, and audit completion.
- A strong audit focus with a genuine interest in the charity and not-for-profit sector.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly and professional approach.
- Capability to review and finalise work conducted by junior team members.
