Hardware Design Engineer - Oxford

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

* Design innovative handheld and robotic sensor/mapping systems using CAD software

* Apply DFM and DFA principles for cost-effective production

* Produce prototypes, bills of materials, and assembly drawings

* Test prototypes with customers on-site

* Set up and test sensor drivers, calibration, and communications using Linux

Requirements:

* Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion360, NX)

* Experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing

* Professional programming experience in C++ and Python

* Strong understanding of DFM and DFA principles

* Product development expertise

Desirable Skills:

* Electronic systems and circuit design knowledge

* PCB design experience

* Familiarity with handheld/robotic sensing devices

* Experience with robustness testing and design validation

* Linux, camera calibration, and sensor communication knowledge
