Job Description:

A well-respected consultancy in the civil engineering field is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Bristol. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee structural engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with all engineering standards and regulations.

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop practical design solutions.

  • Perform structural analysis and design calculations using relevant software tools.

  • Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and project documentation.

  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and address any issues that may arise.

  • Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within scope.

  • Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

  • Chartered status (CEng) with a relevant professional institution is preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within the construction industry.

  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, TEKLA, or similar programs.

  • Strong understanding of building codes, design standards, and construction methods.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
