Our client, a leading UK rental solutions company serving the Water, Environmental, and Construction industries, is seeking a proactive and confident Hire Controller to join their Bracknell branch. This pivotal role involves managing logistics and administration to support branch operations while ensuring outstanding service to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Management: Organise transport cost-effectively, ensuring equipment collections and deliveries are timely.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract and system paperwork. Manage in-lieu contracts and equipment availability.
Records Management: Keep the day book and transport book updated. Ensure responsible parties follow up on entries.
Pricing and Rates: Apply negotiated hire rates and adhere to pricing policies.
Service Coordination: Maximise Service Engineers' effectiveness and coordinate with the workshop for equipment preparation.
Branch Coordination: Liaise with other branches to avoid duplication and ensure smooth operations.
Charge Management: Oversee damage and loss charges, liaising with customers for agreement.
Customer Service and Sales: Communicate sales leads promptly, address customer problems or complaints, and proactively develop business.
Reporting and Meetings: Review reports and branch profitability and ensure compliance with Company QHSE procedures.Skills and Competencies:

A background within Hire or within a similar industry is essential
Technical knowledge of Pumps would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Booking Systems would be an advantage.
Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise and reschedule.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in IT systems, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to stay calm under pressure and solve problems effectively.Benefits:
