About the role

As Finance Executive at Talent Nexus, your inputs will be vital to the department’s day-to-day operations. This is an important role whose inputs will feed into most deliverables of the department. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of tasks within a Finance department, including ownership of the department’s central mailboxes; taking the lead on all things invoices related; leading on payment runs; owning the revenue billing process; and much more.

Reporting to our Finance Manager, you’ll be part of an agile Finance team and will play an important role in helping us achieve a number of our departmental level objectives. In this opportunity, your core responsibilities will involve:

  • Management of the Finance team’s central mailboxes
  • Ensure sales and purchases invoices are posted onto the system in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure the accuracy of data maintained on various data tables
  • Ownership of the weekly payment run process and related tasks
  • Liaison with our sales and media teams on client-related issues and queries
  • Support with bank reconciliation processes, including credit card transactions reconciliations
  • Ownership of the credit control processes
  • Confirm bank details with new suppliers before payment
  • Ownership of the employee expense claim process
  • Assisting with Month End processes (sales/purchases/bank ledgers)
  • Support the team with ongoing finance projects or any other ad-hoc tasks as required
  • Assist with queries and requests from other departments

Who we’re looking for:

  • A degree in Accounting and Finance and/or progression on the AAT/ACCA/CIMA is a plus
  • Previous experience in a similar role and exposure to accounting systems is also a plus
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Someone who is interested in pursuing a career path in Finance and is eager to learn
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines
