We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Science Teacher to join our secondary school and inspire the next generation of scientists. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to providing students with the best possible education in science.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum for Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5).

* Foster a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and a love of learning.

* Assess, record, and report on students' progress and achievement, using data to inform teaching strategies and ensure all students meet their potential.

* Manage classroom behavior effectively, maintaining high standards of discipline in line with the school's policies.

* Support the development of students' practical skills through experiments, demonstrations, and hands-on activities.

* Contribute to the development of the Science department, including participation in extracurricular activities, enrichment programs, and cross-curricular projects.

* Keep up to date with subject developments and best practices in science education, incorporating new techniques and resources into your teaching.

What We Are Looking For:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in Science.

* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics across a range of age and ability levels.

* A passion for science and a commitment to inspiring students to develop an interest in the subject.

* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

* The ability to engage and motivate students, fostering both academic success and personal development.

* A collaborative attitude, working well with colleagues, students, and parents to support the overall school ethos.

* Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting is desirable but not essential; NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply.
