A client focused, UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy are currently seeking to recruit an Asbestos Lab Analyst to join their friendly and fast paced laboratory in the South East. The successful candidate will be BOHS P401 qualified and will be confident in carrying out bulk analysis on materials suspected to contain asbestos and completing test analysis sheets for clients in an organised and timely manner. Consideration will be given to candidates from: Orpington, Epsom, Dartford, Gillingham, Tilbury, Maidstone, Grays, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Erith.

Experience & Qualifications:
" Must hold the BOHS P401 qualification.
" Experience working within a busy asbestos lab for a UKAS accredited Asbestos Consultancy.
" Keen eye for detail.
" Confident in using PLM and stereo microscopy to carry out sample analysis.
" Working in line and keeping up to date with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Organising day to day workload in line with company and client needs.
" Communicating with colleagues and clients efficiently.

The Role:
" Receiving all samples into a busy laboratory, ensuring to log all samples accurately onto internal systems before safely storing
" Safely preparing samples for analysis of fibre content.
" Carrying out bulk sample analysis using PLM and stereo microscopy.
" Calibrating all equipment to ensure accuracy, alongside keeping the laboratory tidy in line with safe working practices.
" Working in line with HSG 248 guidelines.
" Completing test analysis sheets when you have carried out sample analysis, ensuring to submit to clients in a timely manner.
" Liaising with clients, providing excellent support and advice when required.
