Market leading Aggregates Company in North Kent are looking to hire a ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified Senior Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. This is a fully office based role that will report into the Managing Director and current Finance Director. The role is initially as an accountant to support the office manager with the eventual aim of taking over the full responsibility of the accounting and office managerial roles.

Duties of The Senior Accountant role:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Overview the existing staff who deal with the sales and purchases invoicing
• Preparing and processing journals onto sage for various matters including postings for wages, fixed asset depreciation, prepayments, stock etc
• Review anomalies against budget expectations
• Production of detailed site management statistics together with analysis and reasons/recommendations, reported directly to the MD
• Budgeting for current research projects
• Ad hoc management cost accounting duties

Requirements of the Senior Accountant role:

• ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified Accountant
• Experience working within the Aggregates/Waste Management/Construction industries would be an advantage
• Ability to mentor staff - a natural leader
• Strong Excel skills
