Role Purpose:

To manage a team of Support Workers delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support for refugees, migrants, and people seeking asylum in Hackney. The role includes overseeing service delivery, managing complex cases, coordinating the weekly Welcome Hub, and fostering partnerships to meet residents' needs.

Key ResponsibilitiesService Delivery:

* Lead a team providing strengths-based, trauma-informed support to residents.

* Address housing and homelessness issues and ensure safeguarding concerns are escalated appropriately.

* Oversee the weekly Welcome Hub, coordinating operations and stakeholder support.

* Embed resident input and lived experience into service design and delivery.

Team Management:

* Line manage Support Workers, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.

* Allocate and monitor caseloads, ensuring timely interventions.

* Foster a collaborative, learning-focused team culture, promoting staff wellbeing and professional development.

Partnerships and Engagement:

* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to provide holistic support.

* Represent the service in meetings and forums, advocating for residents' needs.

* Support service improvements and ensure co-production is embedded in projects.

Administration and Compliance

* Maintain accurate records and ensure data handling complies with GDPR.

* Monitor service performance, ensuring adherence to quality standards.

* Stay updated on policy and legislative changes affecting the service.

Person Specification:

Skills and Abilities:

* Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

* Effective time management and ability to manage competing priorities.

* Competence in ICT tools and database management.

Knowledge:

* Understanding of issues affecting refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers, including housing and safeguarding.

* Familiarity with trauma-informed and anti-racist practices.

Experience:

* Experience supporting refugees, migrants, or asylum seekers, especially in housing and homelessness.

* Proven ability to lead and develop teams.

* Skilled in co-production and working with diverse stakeholders
