A niche MSE is growing through a period growth and requires a materials buyer to join their team.The RoleWithin this role, you will have full responsibility for sourcing, negotiation, and supplier relationships within the allocated categories.Responsibilities include:

• Source new materials and suppliers
• Price negotiation with existing and new suppliers
• Undertake cost saving projects
• Manage supplier relationships
• Monitor commodity markets define a clear sourcing strategy
• Budget control and financial forecasting

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience of Procurement, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment or SME
• Negotiation skill and commercial awareness
• Awareness of commodity markets and their impact on costs
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Stakeholder engagement
• Strong analytical skills
