Job Description:

Protocol Education are recruiting for a dedicated, enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to working within a primary school in Leeds.  

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support young children in their crucial early years of education, helping to foster their development in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and educational activities that support the EYFS curriculum.
Support individual and group learning, catering to a range of abilities and needs.
Help create a positive and stimulating classroom environment.
Monitor and report on children's progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
Encourage positive behaviour and promote social, emotional, and educational development.
Always ensure the safety and well-being of the children.
Offer one-one support to students with special educational needs or behavioural challenges
Requirements:

Previous experience working with young children, preferably within an EYFS setting (ages 3 years - 5 years).
A passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a supportive team environment.
An understanding of safeguarding practices.
Relevant qualifications in early years education or childcare are desirable but not essential.
Contract Overview:

Full Time Role Monday - Friday, in Leeds Term Time.
Working hours 8:30am - 3:30pm.
Temporary to Permanent Contract available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
