Are you an experienced Hire Controller or Customer Service professional with a background in the tool, plant, or equipment hire industry? We're looking for a confident, organised, and customer-focused individual to join our busy Huddersfield depot.

What You'll Be Doing

* Welcoming customers at the trade counter and assisting with enquiries.

* Handling incoming calls, emails, and messages efficiently and professionally.

* Negotiating hire rates, deposits, transport costs, and resolving damage disputes.

* Offering advice, solving problems, and building long-term customer relationships.

* Processing hire orders via our internal system - including contracts, transport notes, damage charges, and workshop job sheets.

* Monitoring stock levels and coordinating equipment transfers between depots.

* Planning driver schedules for timely deliveries and collections.

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience in a Hire Controller or similar role (tool, plant, or equipment hire).

* A natural communicator with strong customer service skills.

* Organised, calm under pressure, and able to juggle multiple priorities.

* Comfortable negotiating and solving problems with a customer-first mindset.

* Good with numbers, words, and systems - you're confident with IT and admin tasks.

* A team player who's eager to learn and contribute to a busy, positive environment.
