About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team. As an HLTA at our school, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both teachers and students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your responsibilities will be varied and rewarding, ranging from leading small group interventions to covering classes during teacher absences. You will have the opportunity to work closely with teachers to develop and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about making a difference in children's lives, has a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, and is confident in leading a class when needed. Application Requirements:
• Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience working in a primary school setting, particularly within Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead small group and one-on-one interventions to support students' learning in various subjects.
• Cover classes during teacher absences, ensuring continuity of education and maintaining classroom management.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons in collaboration with class teachers.
• Support the development of students' social and emotional skills, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
