The Company

My client is a Civils contractor working on water infrastructure and environment agency projects nationwide. Their head office is based in the West Midlands.

The Project

As a setting out Site Engineer, your role on site will be to assist the Site Manager setting out, surveying and more on a new site with 12 months work. You will collaborate closely with on site management and subcontractors to ensure strict adherence to design specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Your focus will be on ensuring the project is completed efficiently and to the highest industry standards.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

HND Civil Engineering
CSCS CardIt is also essential that you hold the experience below;

Background and good understanding of setting out on civil engineering projects
Willingness and drive to learn and perfect their craft, gaining a bigger understanding of civil engineering and setting out Additional skills;

IT Skills
Excellent attention to detail
Effective time management
Ability to learn and build on previous expereince
Skillful in maintaining high quality standards
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in utilising construction management software, CAD tools, and other relevant technology
Possess a understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and project specificationsThe Role

Setting Out
Quality assurance
Site surveys
Generate as-built surveys and record data
Analyse and execute technical drawings, plans, and specifications
Collaborate closely with the team to facilitate seamless project implementation
Enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure the safety of all site personnel
Collaborate with other members of site staff to set up and uphold project schedules
Identify and address any technical issues or challenges encountered during the construction
Conduct site surveys to establish reference points, lines, and levels for construction activities
Execute quality control protocols to ensure all tasks adhere to required standards and specifications
Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure they comply with design specifications and project plans
Implement and oversee compliance with relevant building codes, regulations and environmental standards
Support the acquisition of materials and equipment, ensuring they meet project specifications and are delivered on schedule
Maintain detailed and accurate project records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation
Coordinate the testing of materials, equipment, and systems to ensure they meet required standards and specifications
