Design Manager - Main Contractor

£60,000 - £70,000 base salary + £5k Car Allowance + 5% Pension + Healthcare + 28 days Holiday

A unique opportunity to join a growing Main Contractor in London, who work on exciting and challenging projects predominately in London. They have a great reputation for delivering results.

This main contractor is looking for a strong Design Manager who can Lead, manage and support all pre and post contract design activities associated with bidding, procurement, construction and defects.

They are £50million turnover and have excellent growth plans to become leading Main Contractor with excellent pipeline of work across both private and public sector.

They offer Design Managers excellent flexibility and have strong pipeline of work, Culture is key part of their business and they have great fun and family feel culture.

The Design Manager will be working on 2 projects, which are £10million and £11million in central London. Both projects are at early stage.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Main contractor or residential developer experience is essential

Experience working on new build RC frame residential projects is essential 

Ability to lead, chair and influence multi party teams and stakeholders

Good interpersonal skills including, communication and team building

Technical skills and the ability to use design and project management software

Problem solving skills and creative thinking

Attention to detail, Organisation and time management

Commercial awareness

Teamworking, relationship-building and influencing skills

Client management skills
