Location: Commutable to Radstock

Remuneration: £50,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Estimating Manager - Commercial Glazing Systems will involve:

* Estimator position producing estimates for the design, fabrication and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows & doors

* Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns

* Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs

* Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects

* Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond

* Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated

* Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured

* Attending pre and post tender meetings as and when required

* Estimating for projects ranging in value from £100,000 to circa £1,000,000

* Supporting and developing a Junior Estimator

* Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met

The ideal applicant will be an Estimating Manager - Commercial Glazing Systems experience with:

* Must have estimating experience within the curtain walling, windows and doors market sector

* Ideally will have a strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing, structural glazing, windows & doors

* AutoCAD, LogiKal, V6 Software Systems experience would be advantageous

* Ideally will have people management skills

* Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings

* Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office)

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

* Excellent analytical and numerical skills

* Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
