An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and passionate Band 6 or 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic team in Middlesex. This role involves working within a school setting, providing therapeutic interventions to children aged 3-11 years. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of paediatric experience and a strong understanding of how to support children with various needs, including developmental delays, sensory processing difficulties, and learning disabilities.

Location: Middlesex
Salary: £33-36 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time (open to part-time applicants)
Age Range: 3-11 years

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children's physical, cognitive, and sensory abilities within the school environment.
Developing and implementing individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to the needs of each child.
Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
Supporting children with motor skills, sensory processing, fine and gross motor development, and self-regulation.
Leading group therapy sessions when necessary to support social skills and independence.
Providing expert advice and training to school staff on supporting children with specific occupational therapy needs.
Managing and documenting progress, including regular updates to parents and the multidisciplinary team.
Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of paediatric occupational therapy experience, ideally within a school setting.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
A thorough understanding of child development and evidence-based practices for treating a range of conditions.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Experience working with children aged 3-11 years, with a wide range of abilities and needs.
A proactive and adaptable approach to managing the diverse needs of children in a school setting.
