ROBERT WALTERS - FINANCE MANAGER

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

Location: Birmingham

2/3 days on site

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their team. This role offers the unique opportunity to be part of a global business with a clear focus on UK operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the establishment of a new management team, launching and scaling. This position requires an individual with a strong understanding of UK tax and regulatory requirements, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit.

What you'll do:

• Establishing and rolling out key business processes
• Managing all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting and revenue recognition
• Providing input and analysis on the structure of the business from a tax and balance sheet efficiency perspective
• Producing quarterly and annual budgets and financial forecasting cycles
• Developing financial business cases for proposed new business offerings such as new degree programmes
• Ensuring compliance with all external obligations including annual returns/filings and VAT returns

What you bring:

• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with demonstrated experience in financial control and financial management
• Track record in similar level roles within Finance, having helped set-up a new business/operation/subsidiary or equivalent
• Exceptional communication skills (verbally and in writing), ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
• Strong analytical ability enabling interpretation of monthly, quarterly/yearly financial results
• Understanding of local compliance obligations, including tax obligations
